Chair of Council-Elect Phoebe Dearden at the Mayoral Charity Ball

Now that the dust has settled, Pluto is catching up with the winning candidates for a brief interview. Today, we speak to Chair of Council-Elect, Phoebe Dearden.

How do you feel about winning?

Thankful for all the support I gained throughout the election process and grateful for all those that will help me make my year as council chair successful.

What is your first priority in your role?

Making students more aware and more involved in council! Also supporting the council members so they can complete what they want to do with their year representing.

How will you know if you’ve succeeded?

I’ll know if I’ve succeeded by hopefully introducing more students into council and making council more effective and the meetings more comfortable for new students

Do you have anything to say to students who are interested in getting involved in Students’ Council, but aren’t quite sure how?

Come along to a meeting and see what council does and how it impacts your student experience at the students union and any questions, contact me on Facebook or Twitter @phoebe95xx or email
