[BREAKING] Student Attacked at Moor Lane Halls

By Joe Young - Deputy Culture Editor

A student has been attacked at Moor Lane Halls near the University campus.

At this stage, little has been confirmed but students have been saying that a male student was attacked during a robbery. He tried to defend himself and received an injury to his hand, leaving a trail of blood across the blocks of halls, with a smear being featured on the floor of an elevator.

The police have arrived and investigated, and the area is remaining closed until it can be cleaned for health and safety reasons.

A student at Moor Lane Halls said,

“I got home from work at 10PM to find police, and blood all over the floor of the reception area, and the ground floor hallway of block three. It’s not the sort of thing you expect to find after the daily grind.”

A member of staff who has asked not to be named has confirmed that there was an incident, and the injuries are “not fatal”.

When asked, Lancashire Police declined to comment.
