This month marks the returns of the BUCS leagues as a variety of sports teams continue their bid for promotion and cup glory.
One of the teams with promotion in their sights are the men’s badminton 1st team, who currently sit 2nd in the Northern 2A table.
First up is a home game against Lancaster 1sts, who currently sit top of the table with a game in hand.
Onto basketball and the women’s 1st team are aiming to bounce back from relegation last season by going straight back up.
Top of the league and into the quarter-finals of the cup, they could be set for a very good season.
Keele 1sts who sit 2nd are only three points behind with a game in hand and are UCLan’s first opponents away from home after the winter break.
Another team which are yet to taste defeat this season, the American Football side have maximum points and sit 1st in the Yorkshire 1A table, with a goal difference of 92.
Sheffield 1sts are their next opponents at the UCLan Sports Arena – the Sabres sit 3rd with two wins and two losses.
From myself and everyone at Pluto I wish our UCLan teams the best of luck and hope there are plenty of league and cup winners come the end of the season.
