University of Central Lancashire graduations will be held this week with celebrations continuing until Friday.
Preston Guild Hall will host the event, as 4,000 students receive academic awards during the ceremonies.
The event will celebrate the academic achievements of UCLan students from all courses, witnessed by friends and family
Josie Linsel, UCLan Students’ Union President, said: “It’s so lovely to see everyone delighted to have graduated and hear the proud parents and friends cheering from the audience!
“It’s brilliant that anyone can watch on live stream around the world too! The whole thing makes me really proud to be part of UCLan” she added.
Four awards will be given out by the university to honour experts from the publishing, medicine, business world and emergency services.
Dr Shiv Pande MBE will become an honorary fellow of the School of Medicine and Dentistry along with Preston-born author Professor Andrew Hartley who is recognised for his contribution to academia.
Arthur Parsons has been recognised for his contribution to videogames design, while Paul Hancock has become an honorary fellow of the School of Forensic and Investigative Sciences for his work as Chief Fire Officer.
UCLan Students will also be able to have a 3D model of themselves printed at this year’s graduation ceremony.
Printing company Stratify.ME will be creating 3D figurines, or minimals, of graduating UCLan students in full graduation attire from the 13th to 16thJuly, making UCLan one of only five universities to offer the unique service.
