CORBYN’S SHADOW CABINET CRISIS – PART SIX

By Joe Young - Politics Editor

Resigned: Shadow Scotland Secretary Ian Murray (Bottom Left)

Next to go was Shadow Scotland Secretary, Ian Murray.

The Labour Party’s only Scottish MP, the loss of Murray is a worrying sign for Labour as unless Corbyn can get him back on board somehow, the Shadow Scottish Secretary will have to be a Member of Parliament from England or Wales; in the face of Scottish Nationalism, this will be more fuel to Sturgeon’s fire of “Westminster does not represent Scotland adequately”.

Murray said:

“The Labour party needs to stop talking to itself. I don’t think at this moment in time he (Corbyn) can be Prime Minister.”

Murray tweeted:

With Murray’s resignation, the score is now 4-2 to the mutineers.
