Event Management Students Raising Money for Green Gecko

By Emili Peake – Features Editor

Event Management students are aiming to raise money for the charity Green Gecko Project.

Challenged by their lectures, third year students are hoping to raise approximately £350 over the next couple of weeks.

Cakes can be bought from the Students’ Union foyer for the rest of the day and are all homemade.

Cakes have been taste tested by the Features Editor and in her opinion are very tasty. They are also catering to the vegan diet with an Oreo cake.

This is not the first time the group have had success with fundraising. During the first year they raised money for Cash for Kids and in second year they raised money for Barnados.

If you are unable to come down today, there will be a tombola on Thursday 26th November in the Students’ Union foyer during the day.

The Green Gecko project is a nation charity which supports getting children off the streets in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
