FROM THE PAPER: “Prone” Ultimate Frisbee team claim first silverware

By Karan Gadhia – Deputy Sports Editor

In their first ever tournament, the “Prone” Ultimate Frisbee team won the Huddersfield Open after winning 7-6 in the final.

Josh Crawford and David Wilson scored the points in the final with Niall Hartley providing the assists.

The indoors competition was for mixed gender teams with teams having, at least, one male and female player in their team of five.

Tom Daly, who captained the side said: “It’s really good because some of us will be leaving at the end of the year so to win a tournament in our final year shows what hard work can culminate to.

“It will be a boost for the whole club that we’ve won because if we can qualify for tournaments and win things then they can do it.

“It’s something for them to work towards and battle for.”
