by Jade Taylorson - Online Comment Editor

The bitter wintry months seem never ending and summer definitely isn’t just around the corner. The harsh weather brings dry skin and at this time of year it’s really important to keep moisturised, cleansed and ready to face the freezing cold. To help you along the way, I’ve reviewed my top 5 Soap & Glory products that will add a bit of glamour to your daily routine and leave your skin feeling silky smooth.

Foam Call

1. FOAM CALL – shower and bath body wash (£6.50)

Foam Call is so moisturising, lathers well and reduces the drying effects of your daily soap-up. Enriched with peppermint essential oils, grapeseed EFA’s, fruitliquid fig and orange waterjuice, this body wash has a gentle fruity smell that doesn’t conflict with perfume. The moisturising suds are sensitive towards dry skin and leaves you feeling nourished even before applying lotion. Like with all Soap & Glory products, the retro-inspired packaging is super cute and easy to operate.

Flake Away

2. FLAKE AWAY – body polish (£8.00)

Nights out in the North would not be the same if you didn’t risk flashing your legs and leaving your tights at home. This Flake Away body polish is great for transforming scaly legs into silky smooth pins ready to bare the cold weather. Perfect for use after rinsing off Foam Call, this product soothes your skin and works instant magic. I would recommend using this scrub before shaving your legs as the sea salts can sting irritated skin. After rinsing, you can immediately notice the difference and are left with a boost of confidence for heading out, along with a heavenly scent.

The Righteous Butter

3. THE RIGHTEOUS BUTTER – body butter (£10.00)

After showering or bathing, a generous handful of The Righteous Butter will give you baby soft skin and a comforting scent. With a thick and creamy texture, this body butter is the best moisturiser I’ve came across and gets rid of dry skin that other products just can’t seem to budge. Its expensive price is well worth the cost and this luxury item will soon become an everyday necessity. This product is also great for using as a base for makeup and fake tan as it leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth.

Hand Food

4. HAND FOOD – hydrating hand cream (£5.50)

There’s no doubt that this really is the most astonishing hand cream ever. Perfect for everyday use and can be applied as often as you want to soften, smooth and soothe dry, chapped or otherwise hampered hands. This product can also be purchased in a handy travel size to be carried around with you wherever you go. It’s very easy to apply and you only need a small amount to moisturise both hands. It absorbs very well and doesn’t leave an oily coverage like a lot of hand creams do. Perfect for bracing the harsh winds this winter!

Heel Genius

5. HEEL GENIUS – amazing foot cream (£5.50)

Forget about pedicures, Heel Genius is the new and more affordable way to renovate tough feet in a single session. This amazing foot cream gives even the roughest of cuticles a run for their money. To make the most of this product, apply a generous layer and slip a pair of socks on to let it soak in overnight. After one use, the results are astonishing and you can wear any footwear without having to worry about dry heels. The cream smells great and is not too thick or sticky. I can guarantee it will be the best £5.50 you ever spend!
