Happy ‘Healthy’ Halloween!

It can be difficult when holidays like Halloween come around because there’s just so many sweet temptations – and that’s without going trick or treating.

I often struggle when it comes to this time of year, one because of the weather and two because everything sweet/chocolatey/a heart attack in sugar coating becomes a lot more accessible. So often it can leave you feeling like your depriving yourself at parties as others can see you gazing lovingly at the buffet but fear not, there are effective little treats that you can create yourself that keeps you fighting fit but also so you don’t feel left out of the fun!

For the most part, they’re easy to create!

Banana Ghosts

Take as many bananas as you could possibly want and cut them in half. Melt dark chocolate until runny. Then simply pipe the dark chocolate to create a little ghosty face onto the banana! They’re so simple but so fun, guaranteed these little cute features will be the talk of your party!

Tangerine Pumpkins

You can’t get much simpler than this, literally peel the tangerine so that there is no skin left on at all. Get yourself some green apples and cut into chunks. Place the apple in the middle of the tangerine to represent the stalk and there you have it! Another simple party favourite.

You could literally go all night eating all these and feel guilt free. Just make sure whilst you are eating happy and healthy that you try and avoid heavy alcoholic beverages such as beer or cider and opt for more spirits with diet mixers!
