Urban Decay is infamous for their super pigmented eye shadows in a range of beautiful vibrant colours, but over the years, they have re-invented themselves with a complete new brand image. Urban decay now offer a range of beautiful yet basic make up necessities called the ‘Naked’ collection, their most adored look yet. I decided to treat myself to an Urban Decay haul…
The Naked eye shadow palette is Urban Decay’s most favourite and established product. There are three versions of this pallet, Naked, Naked Two and Naked Three, all insanely popular for their own reasons. Each palette comes with an Urban Decay lotion primer, a cream best thinly applied to the eyelid and socket before applying eye shadow. This ensures the shadow does not crease and it stays on all day long, I bought the latest release of the collection, Naked Three; a palette of beautiful rose toned hues. You need it- whether to create a day time look with ‘Strange’, a pink matte satin shade, or ‘Blackheart’, a smoky black matte with rosy red micro sparkle for the evening. Naked Three is available at johnlewis.com for £37.
Another item I purchased is the Naked Flushed face palette, a combination of a bronzer, blush and highlighter. Available in four different shades, I chose ‘Streak’. Streak contains quite a dark bronzer, sparkly highlighter and a coral blush, perfect for my complexion. I applied the bronzer first, using an angled brush along my cheekbone, nose and forehead – the number one bronzer rule, only apply bronzer where the sun would naturally kiss you! I then applied blusher to the apples of my cheeks, and then the highlighter both above and below my cheekbones. This palette is perfect and compact. Naked Flushed is available at johnlewis.com for £22.
I couldn’t have a Naked haul without purchasing a lip-gloss too! There are nine shades all together, covering nudes, pinks and corals. Naked lip glosses contain vitamin D, avocado oil, shea butter and rosehip seed oil, making your lips incredibly soft but looking gorgeous at the same time! Naked lip glosses are available at John Lewis for just £14 each.
The last product I bought was an absolute essential – the Urban Decay De-slick make up setting spray. This spray can be used before applying makeup as a primer base, or afterwards to keep your make up looking freshly applied all day long. At just £9 for 30ml, I’d class this as an essential for your make up bag. Get yourself over to johnlewis.com for Urban Decay online exclusives as soon as possible before the secrets out!
