MACs Bar will reopen after their appeal has been approved at Preston Magistrates today.
The bar was issued 48 hour closure on June 1 by the police under section 76 of the anti-social behaviour act. They were then issued a three month closure after a hearing at Preston Magistrates last month.
Today, the court reviewed the premises licence of the nightclub, and the three month ban has now been overturned. Service is to resume shortly after the owners meet with the council next week.
Owner, Andy Mac tweeted:
I was successful with the appeal!!!! Closure order has been overturned!! I’m so happy right now! Thank you for your overwhelming support
