Preston North End travel to St Andrew’s in their penultimate away match of the season to take on Birmingham City tonight.

It finished all square in the reverse fixture between these two, Birmingham’s Michael Morrison cancelling out Adam Reach’s early opener at Deepdale.

City have picked up 12 out of a possible 27 points at home this year whilst PNE have won two out of their last five away from home.

After a disappointing draw against Milton Keynes Dons last weekend, PNE manager Simon Grayson has demanded better from his players starting tonight.

He believes too many were below their usual standards on Saturday, especially during the second half.

Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has called on his players to finish the season strongly, after back-to-back home defeats.

The Blues sit a place above North End in 9th, something Rowett is keen to maintain until the end.

Onto team news and North End will wait to see if Calum Woods is fit to return to the side whilst Tom Clarke and Jordan Hugill could be in contention to start after appearing on the bench last weekend.

Birmingham will be without Arsenal loanee Jon Toral, after he was shown a second yellow card in their last match against the Clarets.

Victory for North End tomorrow would see them move up one place above City whilst a 1st home victory in three matches for Birmingham could see them jump above Ipswich Town into 8th.
