Tomorrow, Preston North End travel to the iPro Stadium to face Derby County in a rearranged Championship fixture following the FA Cup 4th round matches this weekend.

The last time these two sides met, Daniel Johnson’s late goal was not enough to stop Derby County coming away from Deepdale with all three points after Chris Martin’s double put his side ahead.

The Rams go into the match, seeking to end a run of three consecutive defeats, most recently losing 3-1 at home against Manchester United on Friday.

North End have had more than a week to prepare for this game after they were knocked out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round by Peterborough United.

The 10 day break is exactly what the players needed, according to PNE manager Simon Grayson.

He believes the players will be well prepared for the match against Derby and that there is more pressure on County.

Despite losing 3-1 to Manchester United last week, Derby manager Paul Clement thinks there were lots of “pleasing things” to take from the match.

When the Rams claimed all three points at Deepdale earlier in the season, it started a run of form which saw them lose just once until the New Year.

Clement hopes his side can secure a win and start to build momentum going into the final stages of the season.

North End Captain Tom Clarke will be available for the trip to Derbyshire whilst goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, who joined the club on loan from West Bromwich Albion, will also be handed his debut.

Striker Jermaine Beckford has moved his rehabilitation on, starting to run again but the club have refused to say what date he will be back in contention.

As for the hosts, there are no fresh injury concerns following the defeat to United with Darren Bent and Andreas Wiemann possibly set to make an appearance after being rested in the FA Cup match.

A win for PNE, who are currently 16th, could see them jump up four places whilst County have the chance to move into 3rd if they secure all three points.
