Tonight, it’s the turn of Charlton Athletic to travel to Deepdale to face Preston North End.
A brace from Paul Gallagher and a Daniel Johnson strike in the 2nd half secured all three points for North End when these two sides met in October last year.
Addicks manager Jose Riga has won one out of his first six matches since becoming manager last month.
PNE continued their ascent up the Championship table with a 1-0 home victory against promotion-chasing Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.
Whilst Preston manager Simon Grayson feels positive his side can go out and beat Charlton, he has warned against “complacency”.
Despite their position in the table, he went on to say how they still have players that can cause problems and that they will be motivated to pick up a result to try and avoid relegation.
Charlton may have found wins hard to come by of late but Riga believes they still have what it takes to avoid the drop.
He was critical about the manner in which they conceded against Fulham but said they created enough opportunities to win the match.
Onto team news and Grayson will be able to select Marnick Vermijl after he was ineligible for the victory over his parent club Sheffield Wednesday.
Addicks striker Igor Vetokele missed the defeat against Fulham with a hamstring problem but could be in contention for tonight’s match.
Another striker who was absent from the starting XI at Craven Cottage was Arsenal loanee Yaya Sanogo, after he complained of back pain during training.
Alou Diarra, who has been out for a few months, might be nearing a return after he trained with the squad last Friday.
Charlton have the chance to move within three points of safety if they win tonight whilst PNE could climb two places into 8th if they secure a third successive victory.
