Up next for Simon Grayson’s PNE is a home clash against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
The last time these two sides met it was the Owls who swooped to victory at Hillsborough, Lewis McGugan scoring in the 6th minute of stoppage time to secure a 3-1 win.
Wednesday had taken a 2-0 lead in the match following goals from Kieran Lee and Daniel Pudil before Alan Browne pulled one back for North End.
Sheffield manager Carlos Carvalhal has witnessed his side lose on just the one occasion in their previous ten league games.
Meanwhile, North End came away from Molineux with a massive three points as they beat Wolves 2-1 in their last outing.
Grayson knows Sheffield will be tough opponents but he believes his side are more than capable of winning the match.
He went on to say how the players were in good spirits after the victory over Wolves last weekend.
Wednesday also need to be at their best if they want to claim all three points tomorrow, according to Carvalhal.
He also praised the Sheffield fans for their support so far this season and said how crucial they have been in helping the side climb up the table.
Onto team news and PNE midfielder Ben Pearson will be available for selection after he missed his second match after being banned for receiving his 10th booking of the season.
However, defender Marnick Vermijl will not feature because he is on loan from tomorrow’s opponents.
Sheffield Wednesday might be able to call on Sam Hutchinson after he missed their victory over Brentford last weekend.
Captain Glen Loovens, who has been out since the start of the month with a groin injury, could also be in contention for the visit to Deepdale.
PNE could move up one place into 10th if they secure victory whilst Wednesday will increase their chances of finishing in one of the automatic promotion spots if they claim all three points.
