Preston North End secured their third successive pre-season victory by putting four goals past Southport.
Jordan Hughill headed PNE in front two minutes before half-time, with Andy Little also scoring a header past Port keeper Andy Coughlin in the 57th minute.
Will Keane scored his first goal for Preston in the 80th minute before Josh Brownhill added a fourth in the dying seconds.
Assistant manager Glynn Snodin said: “I thought they were fantastic tonight, it was a pleasure to watch them and four goals scored and another clean sheet.”
Neil Kilkenny saw his 25-yard effort sail over the bar as PNE started to test the Sandgrounders defence midway through the first-half.
Brownhill wasted a good opportunity in the 25th minute as his low effort was aimed straight at Coughlin after he had cleverly worked some space in the box.
Jamie Allen had a chance to put the hosts in front but his right-foot shot from outside the box just edged past the far post.
Hughill broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute, meeting Brownhill’s cross from inside the box and steering the ball past Coughlin.
Jamie Jones denied Southport’s Andrai Jones on the stroke of half-time pushing a fierce shot past the near post to keep PNE in front.
Brownhill was the orchestrator in Preston’s second goal, placing a cross with pin-point precision to Little who doubled Preston’s tally in the 57th minute.
Steve James who replaced Jamie Jones between the sticks for the second half denied Port’s Charlie Joyce from pulling a goal back by keeping a low shot out.
Will Keane made certain of a Preston victory by firing a low shot past the keeper with 10 minutes left after being picked out by substitute Jack Ryan.
Just as referee Peter Wright was about to blow for the final whistle, Brownhill added a fourth with a low shot from just inside the box.
