Oscar Shortlist Announced!

A news conference that was held January 14th in Los Angeles, recently revealed their list of nominations for the Oscars Ceremony. On Sunday February 28th, the 88th Academy Awards presented by Chris Rock will celebrate achievement within the film industry.

It was Thursday morning that the nominations were released to public for the 88th Oscars celebrations. A news conference was held indoors at The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’, Goldwyn Theatre at Beverley Hills.

Directors Ang Lee and Guillermo Del Toro, President Cheryl Isaacs and the Actor John Krasinksi all revealed whom were victoriously selected for the latest films in 2015 – costume designers, screenwriters and more.

Below is a list of some of the awards up for grabs:

  • The Revenant, Leonardo DiCaprio.
  • The Martian, Matt Damon.
  • Trumbo, Bryan Cranston.
  • Steve Jobs, Micheal Fassbender.
  • The Danish Girl, Eddie Redmayne.
  • Carol, Cate Blanchett.
  • Room, Brie Larson.
  • Joy, Jennifer Lawrence.
  • Brooklyn – Saoirse Ronan.
  • 45 years, Charlotte Rampling.

Supporting actors/actresses:
