Radiohead Reveal New Album

By Leah Bradford-Thom - Reporter

After the surprise arrival of Burn the Witch on Tuesday, Radiohead have confirmed the rumours which it sparked online on Tuesday.

The band has announced that it will digitally release a full new album on Sunday 8th May at 7pm BST. The five-piece band has also revealed a second single and music video for the album, entitled Daydreaming. The album currently remains untitled, likely a tactic to continue the suspense which fans have had to endure all week. After all, this is a fan base which has had to stay extremely patient in the last few years. The King of Limbs was the most recent studio release by the band, and this was in 2011.

The band publicised the details of a world tour in March, but with only 3 small shows at the London Roundhouse, many fans were left disappointed. With the new album on the horizon, more dates and festival appearances could be in the pipeline. For now, at least fans have something new from Radiohead to enjoy, which has been desired for some time. Daydreaming is available to stream and to buy online already, alongside their first single from earlier this week, Burn the Witch.
