[REVIEW] Blossoms – Honey Sweet (Single)

Onwards and upwards for The Blossoms, as they release Honey Sweet from their debut album.

According to NME, this song is a homage to 80’s electropop.

But, I think Blossoms are travelling further than your average indie band. Their fresh sound is the beginning of a turning in the tide. Every song on their album sounds almost timeless in a way. Lead singer, Tom Odgen sounds like a mix between Miles Kane and Brett Anderson. Their music is like the reminsicences of Suede as they take their sound into deep rhythms.

They’re definitely the most exciting band of 2016 and hopefully their onwards momentum will take them right through a strong 2017 including a headline gig at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl.
