[REVIEW] Dua Lipa – Last Dance (Single)

UK pop’s next big obsession’ – Q

‘Last Dance’ Dua’s new single is due for release on Friday the 25th of March.

Gathering millions of views on YouTube already she is heading for big things throughout 2016. ‘Be The One’ another one of Dua’s singles is currently No. 2 on iTunes in Germany and still rising.

Following on from her sold out headline tour, Dua will perform at Heaven in London on March 31st.

With her standalone lyrics and smoky voice ‘Last Dance’ will leave you wanting more. Starting slowly, and sounding vocally similar to Rhianna it builds up into more of a song you can dance along to. As it is only the chorus with a dance beat, I can see the song being remixed, much like Paloma Faith’s ‘Changing’, to give off more of a club vibe. However it is safe to say that the chorus will stay lodged in my head for days to come, having me humming along to the tune, forcing me to listen to the song again (probably on repeat).

This song alone hasn’t made me into an avid fan of Dua, but I am very keen to hear what more she has to offer.
