This song is dope! Once you listen to it, you won’t stop listening. Very addictive and the lyrics are very catchy. The Jamaican born newcomer artist and a first class honours graduate, Krishane has done an incredible job with this tune. ‘Found Da Boi’ which featured one of Afrobeat’s leading artists, Wande Coal was released in late October from BBC Radio by MistaJam. The song audio which can be found on Krishane’s official YouTube channel and has already managed to catch the attention of thousands of listeners.
This feel good AfroPop banger makes an exciting and fun summer jam to listen to. The song is inspired by his bright motto being #SpreadTheColor, which represents positivity through his music. In an interview Krishane says the song recreates “…something that shows off colour & soul. Inspired by her but represents the literal meaning recognising and appreciating what is in front of you, as well as embracing happiness.”
I know summer is already over in England but for me, when I hear this song, all I think about it summer and beaches. It also brings up thoughts of someone you like to your head and makes you want to sing along to the chorus. I also think it’s great that Krishane featured an Afrobeat artist to the song because Wande Coal really made this song come to life and added another aspect and meaning to it. It would have been a good song on its own but Wande Coal’s verse brings a different element to the song. The added African sound aspect which Wande Coal brings to the song makes the tune sound different and creative. The mixing of the two genres; Afrobeat and reggae-soaked pop, makes the song really interesting to listen to.
I would definitely give the song a 5 star rating simply because I like the positive energy and feel good feeling it gives me when I listen to it.
