[REVIEW] Lana Del Rey – Love

Caitlin Mclaren - Culture Editor

‘LOVE’ is the first track to be taken from her forthcoming album, which is due out later this year. The album is a body of work created by Lana and her longtime producer and collaborator Rick Nowels. Lana has already admitted that she has been also working alongside Miles Kane with her upcoming material.

Lana said:

“I made my first 4 albums for me, but this one is for my fans and about where I hope we are all headed”.

Interesting, as the sound is still rather dark, but I think that just describes the way Lana portrays herself. Her lyrics almost represent normal life. She sings about going to work, having a coffee. This might be her new approach of representing realism in a way.

Undoubtly, whenever Lana disappears, there is a massive hole in the music industry which is desperate to be filled so when she does return, it’s rather pleasant. I am hoping this album also produces some music with more of a dramatic rhythm for her fans to enjoy.

I mean, this song is nowhere near Young & Beautiful, but I enjoyed it.
