Source Bar have created a petition to bring a Preston legend to UCLan.
The Students’ Union’s bar has asked students to sign a petition to bring cricket hero and much loved Preston icon Freddie Flintoff to Source Bar. The idea is to bring Freddie to the first Karaoke & Cocktails night of the new academic year in September, starting the evening off with his Elvis Presley impersonation.
Flintoff is a former professional England cricketer and since retiring has become a TV personality on shows such as, A League of Their Own.
Karaoke & Cocktails is arguably Source Bar’s busiest night of the week with a packed bar of students belting out their favourite hits, in less than 24 hours the petition has already received 100 signatures and seems like an idea students are on board with.
Peter Burn commented that the UCLan Cricket Club “would love this” and others such as Daniel Dyke signing because he is “a huge fan of Freddie and would be great to see him do this.”
If you would like to see Freddie Flintoff at Source Bar then you can sign the petition here.
