A UCLan Student will be representing Lancashire in the annual Beauty of the UK pageant

Aimee Walsh, a 21 year-old journalism student, currently holds the title for Beauty of Lancashire. She will be competing with other beauty queens across England for the title of ‘The Beauty of England 2016’.

Before the final Aimee will be making appearances at different events as the Beauty of Lancashire.

“I feel ecstatic for being chosen to represent Lancashire.” Said Aimee.11801984_1643524885895157_1940080271_n

“I randomly entered the competition online at the start of this year, and never thought I’d even hear back from them.

“I have been very lucky to have been chosen for this beauty pageant. I’ve just received my crown and sash in the post and I can’t wait to take part. I entered really just randomly for it, but now I’ve seriously been selected for it, it can’t come soon enough to show people how we can represent ‘The beauty of Lancashire.'”

The Beauty of the UK started in 2013 and is for females aged 13+. It is a national beauty pageant with 4 crowning titles, Beauty of England, Scotland and Wales and Teen Beauty.

The final for Beauty and Teen Beauty of England, Scotland and Wales will take place in Lancashire at the Park Hall Hotel in Chorley in October.
