UCLan Through the Ages Officially Launches

Hannah Mason, Editor-in-Chief

Last night, UCLan Students’ Union officially launched it new project.

UCLan Through the Ages is an exciting new project, funded from a successful bit to the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The main motto of the project is, “making invisible history and culture visible.”

It aims to allow UCLan students the opportunity to help develop and get involved in a range of heritage events and activities exploring the history of UCLan and the city of Preston.

The ‘Unveiling a Hidden History’ event included activities surrounding the founders of UCLan, a timeline of the institution and a taste of Lancashire – including everybody’s favourite, the Lancashire hotpot.

Students, staff, the community and the Students Affairs Committee all attended the event for an evening of heritage, with the night not only bringing education to the attendees but also allowed them to have fun with the history of Preston.
