On the 1st July, UCLan Students’ Union Student Affairs Committee new members officially started. The SU is now under new management with a new Student Council and new SAC.
Sana Iqbal will takeover as President, chair of the board of trustees, and represent the voice of students at university board.
Tasmia Salim will continue as Education Officer, the lead representative on your education and academia. Her plans are to continue working on improving feedback, living costs for students’ especially international and postgraduate students, the BME (Black and Minority Ethnicity) attainment gap and widening participation.
Hannah Mason is returning for a second year as Media Officer, who runs the all new Pulse Media. Hannah has led massive changes and improvements to student media, she plans to continue her work with exciting events planned for next year.
Edward Evans will be the new Activities and Participation Officer, responsible for supporting sports clubs, societies, fundraising and some parts of volunteering.
Renaye Roberts-Sinclair is taking over as Campaigns Officer, to represent you on issues affecting your welfare, on equality and liberation and run community projects with external organisations.
