Welcome to Preston Talks!

By Joe Young - Deputy Culture Editor

Welcome to Preston Talks! This is a series of articles where we speak to local politicians to help you decide how to cast your votes on the 5th May!

In Preston, there are five parties standing – the Conservative Party, the Green Party, the Labour Party, the Liberal Democrats, and the United Kingdom Independence Party. We have contacted representatives from each of these parties to answer the same four questions.

  1. In three words, how would you sum up your party?
  2. What do [Party Name] have to offer Preston?
  3. What policies do the [Party Name] have for young people?
  4. Why, in your opinion, is it important for young people to vote?

As the replies come in, this page will be updated and you will be able to keep up to date with what people have to say – just try and remember it at the ballot box!
