Politics isn’t easy. But we can help with that through the launch of our new series: What Is?

At least twice a week, we’re going to ask a question and aim to answer it. It could be something as simple as “What is Parliament?” or something as complicated as “What is the purpose of elected hereditary peers in the House of Lords?”. In all likelihood though, it will consist of things that are simple enough to understand if they’re explained concisely and well.

100 articles will be published in this series – if you follow it regularly, you’ll become a real political aficionado by the end!
