Preston City Wrestling is putting on a free show for students at 53 Degrees later this month.
The event will take place on Friday 18th September and is standing-room only. Doors open at 7:30pm with the first bell sounding 30 minutes later and the finish time expected to be 10:30pm.
There are over 750 free tickets up for grabs for students who want to see Preston’s wrestlers pit their wits against one another. An extra 150 tickets will be made available to the public for a small fee.
A statement from PCW states: “UCLan freshers we are coming to 53 Degrees.
“We have 150 tickets to sell for a private PCW event hosted by UCLan Students’ Union.
“This is for over 18s only and tickets are £5 each for those who have a ticket to our show on September 25th and £15 if you don’t.”
Carl Brown, who works for UCLan’s Student Union, expressed his excitement when the show was confirmed and admitted the night should prove a big hit with wrestling fans.
“British wrestling is in a bit of a Boom period with a number of promotions all other the country.
“PCW has cemented its place as one of the most popular around with its sell out shows at Evoque night club, not forgetting the huge Armed Forces Day show on Preston flag market which attracted over 6000 people.”
Preston City Wrestling features an all-star line-up of competitors with former WWE wrestlers such as Chris Masters and Ken Anderson making regular appearances.
The entertainment company travels all over hosting events – last month they hosted a show in Blackpool for the first time with over 3000 spectators lining the ringside.
The company has grown massively since its inception four years ago by owner and promoter Steven Fludder.
Budding wrestlers can become part of the PCW academy and hone their wrestling skills as well as keeping active and making new friends.
New students are only accepted twice a year due to the demand for places.
